SPACE METALS

SPACE METALS

We supply space-grade titanium, aluminium and nickel alloys for space programs worldwide.

Space Metals To Order

Space exploration requires strong materials that can maintain shape and structure under high aerodynamic pressures and heat during lift-off and when in contact with rocket fuel and superheated exhaust gases. They must also be able to withstand the intense cold of space and have good dimensional stability through rapid temperature changes to ensure functionality in all phases of the operation.

Metalco Extrusions Global LLP’S have over 30 years of experience supplying raw and processed metals to space, defence and aerospace industries, with sheet, plate, bar and tube cut and finished to order. Working to tight tolerances, we ensure every component and product is prepared to the customer’s exact requirements so that they arrive at your facility ready to use.

A Range of Space Alloys And Materials For Space Construction

Metalco Extrusions Global LLP’s stock titanium, aluminium and steel alloys, among other metals for use in the manufacture of spacecraft and satellites.

The Power of 7075 Aluminium Round Bars

Unlock the potential of 7075 aluminium round bars, renowned for their high strength-to-weight ratio. As suppliers, we ensure you get top-notch quality for your projects, elevating your endeavors to unparalleled heights.

TITANIUM STOCKISTS

Relatively lightweight and high strength, titanium and its alloys are excellent materials for spacecraft structures and attaching high loads to satellites. Titanium alloys can have low thermal expansion coefficients, meaning they won’t warp, expand or shrink at extreme temperatures. High corrosion resistance also makes titanium excellent for craft designed to land in salt water.

We supply titanium sheet, plate, bar and tube in the following grades:

  • Grade 2 99.6%
  • Grade 4 99.6%
  • Grade 5 6A1-4V

Aluminium and Alloys:

Propellant tanks are the site of much of a rocket or spacecraft’s mass and may be load-bearing. Aluminium alloys such as 2024 aluminium contain copper and can be heat-treated to support high mechanical loads at extremely low temperatures. 2024A Clad has a high strength-to-weight ratio and exceptional corrosion resistance, making it suitable for space applications.

In the dynamic world of construction and manufacturing, where the right choice of materials can make all the difference, aluminium round bars, with their unmatched properties and versatility, stand as a testament to modern engineering excellence. Elevate your projects by choosing the best – choose aluminium round bars. Contact us for more information and to make the right choice for your specific needs.
