1070 Chequered Plates

The governing standards for such composition and physical properties of these plates are covered under the ASTM B 209. Besides, this a subsection of it – BS EN 573 is the standard for its chemical composition. Also, another subsection standard BS EN 485 is there to define the mechanical or physical aspects of this metal. They are highly used in the truck body, train cars, ship and boat floor bodies manufacturing. Also, they can be easily found in the non- slippery flooring works. They are also used in electrical and thermal power conductions.

Alloy 1070 also comes in variant finishes as mill polished, mirror surface, and close tolerance polished finishes. They can be availed with some additive services like annealing, stress relieving, hot and cold works, over aging treatments, etc. These services are limited to only some temper ranges of these plates. Like annealing could be done only with the alloy 1070 O and alloy 1070 F plates.
